Me/E Defend North Kryta/Denravi Solo
Soloing/Farming Defend North Kryta Province and Defend Henge of Denravi
So ya I was inspired by the Hell's Precipice Solo build post by LuXa, so I thought I'd contribute my own way of soloing Titans, I will go step by step on how to do each mob of Titans.
The basic equipment is Enchanters with you standard Superior Vigor Rune and smaller runes, Fast Casting and Inspiration, these can be Majors if you wish. Note: You can take Superiors as well but it can become a bit more tricky to do, its up to you really. You can bring Virtuoso/Noble's gloves since you will casting almost the entire time. They are also global.
Power Drain/Channeling/Cry of Frustration
Elemental Attunment (E)
Earth Attunment
Ward Against Elements/Elemental Resistance
Armour of Earth
Kinetic Armour
Stone Daggers
Aura of Restoration/Ether Feast
Note: If you can manage energy well enough take Cry over the others, though you CAN take both Cry and Power Drain dropping Ward/ER. You will take more damage but that should not be a problem, this will allow you to kill Born, Wild Growths, and Rotting. Cry is sufficient to stop Growths, but you will need both to combat Rotting as they spam Lingering Curse.
Attributes:
12 Earth
13 (+1 +1 +11) Fast Cast
9 (+6 +3) Inspiration
Note: As I said you CAN use Superiors and have 15 Fast Cast, or 13 Fast Cast and 13 Inspiration (if I remember correctly). I went with basics to simply test.
(If you take Cry throw the remaining points into Dom for a little extra damage)
Equipment:
20/20 Earth Staff, +5 energy, +20% enchant duration works wonders. Though anything with +20% enchants will work. If you take a sword and earth off-hand you can drop Stone Daggers for Flame Burst Actually I will talk about this conversion later, its a different build.
How to do it:
Henge: Start off by NOT talking to Evenia, just let her sit there. Let all the animals/creatures/trolls run by you and walk forward there is a spawn of Borns you must be ready for them. Throw up EleAttun, EarthAtun, AoE, and Aura, walk up to the bend where they rise up and as soon as they do throw on Kinetic. If you brought channeling run into them and give them a big hug and start spamming Daggers. If you took Cry/Drain/Both then simply start pummeling them with Daggers and when you start running low (you shouldn't) or see a spell you don't like interupt it. With FC at 13 you will be a machine gun that deals ~13 damage per hit, two hits per cast.
Once these are cleared continue on, you will see several NPC's standing out in the middle of an open area, well simply walk up to them... run away from them and laugh at them as they die. This is done to trigger the many many many patrols of Titans. Once the patrols start throw up your armour and pull a mob and eliminate it. I suggest killing all the Borns first, especially the near by patrols.
If you feel gutsy enough to take on the Growths pull one and, really need to do this, interupt Apply Poison.- I tried soloing one when it applied Poison, given it had a height advantage in NKP (where the new "town" is), I was able to cacel out its damage but the poison decayed my to near death. With out a height advantage it may be doable, I will have to test. I will need volunteers for this though, since I accidentally completed DHoD long ago and have been bothering guildies and friends for help.
Once Apply is stopped the bugger cannot deal you damage, all he does is attempt to lay traps and throw on Whirling Defense which does nothing to you. So just dismiss him. When he dies he spawns 2-3 borns, easy to dispatch especially since you are already armoured up. If you run into energy problems its never wrong to run away for a little bit and recover, they don't follow too far and you can always lead them to Evennia and her army :P
If you are real brave and mighty, you can try stopping the Rotting Titans, though you will probably have to run after you kill it... if you manage it. You will need to interupt its Lingering Curse twice at the start then multiple times through the battle. Use Cry as your main interupt and Drain as your cover for Cry, and as a nifty energy gain. This is probably the only thing Avarre's Me/Mo has no chance at killing. I took time to test the 55 build and... it flopped. Technically you could bring two interupts but you will have no way to kill the bastard. Maybe Avarre can think of something, I will test some other 55 possibilities on it as well.
The boss... I have yet to kill him. Wither and Malaise are real annoying. Especially since he spams them like none other. Diversion will not work... though you can bring diversion and spam it on the Borns, they are funny when they have no skills left.
You can sneak by the Titan boss and kill other Titans on the map.
North Kryta Province
Alot easier than Defend Denravi for farming as it is much more open and fewer clumped mobs. You can pull clusters of multimobs apart easily and if you happen to run across a large super mob... just ignore it. The basic strategy is much the same as the one for Denravi but now you can fight things in a more free order. The one downside is that you need to choose what you want to kill before you leave. Ecluding a few select mobs of two Borns most travel in packs of four requiring Power Drain for energy purposes, also a ER is usually a plus because even -3 or -5 can stack up and become real annoying.
Just run around kill things, mourn over the dead noble Tengu that died fighting the Titans, and kill more things.
NOTE: I have yet to figure out a way to make the giant turtle eat the Titans... but I know there is a way!
How to do it (Duo):
Duo is much the same as solo but will be incredibly faster. You can have two different partners with you. You will need to be the tank for them so, as normal, run in and start tanking then let them get busy.
Partner Choice 1:Ranger/(Elementalist/Monk)
Barrage (E)
Conjure Flame/Lightning/Frost/Judge's Insight (what ever floats your boat)
Ungent
Dryders Defense (just incase)
Distracting Shot
Savage Shot/Favorable Winds
Favorable Winds/Symbiosis (<--- 1000+ HP mesmer FTW!)
~Open Slot~
Equipment:
Weapon: Elemental Longbow of Whatever
Armour: Normally modded ranger armour for Marks/Exp/Wild ~ Can also have BM.
Tactics:
While you tank have the ranger set up hit spirit(s) and enchantments and everything. Have him sit out of your agrro as far as possible and just have him shoot away with Barrage. You can put Avarre's 55 build instead of my build here for tanking. If you trust your ranger, and if they are capable, you can move on to destroying Growths who should be no trouble with Distracting and your own interupts. Finally comes the Rotting, as always this guy is hard as all hell. You need to interupt him to hell and your ranger can switch to a Short Bow if everything else is dead, Ungent will counter any degen. I have not attempted the boss.
Partner Choice 1: N/Mo
Spiteful Spirit
Suffering
Spinal Shivers
Watchful Spirit/Breeze
Balth Spirit
Smite Hex (Water Born like to Hex, as to the Earth Born... so make them pay!)
~Two free slots~
Equipment:
Weapon: 20/20 Curse works great.
Armour: Standard SS/SS armour.
Tactics:
Much like the ranger, you must tank. The necro needs to be very careful as Borns don't like staying agrroed especially when you run up to them. Necro can cast SS and the Borns will drop real fast as they spam spells. Smite Hex adds even more damage as as I stated before. Borns are again easy and quick to dispatch. Since you are bringing a necro with Watchful/Breeze the poison of Growths is not as scary, infact you may choose not to bring Cry and just stick with Drain and ER. Dispatch the spawned Borns and move on to big bro. Spinal Shivers is your very best friend here. Though I never got to testing with a necro against the Rotting (Damn you spring break! *shakes fist angrily*). Forget about the boss, not a chance in hell.
NOTE: You must be very aware of Maelstrome, if it falls and you don't pay attention it can screw you over royally, especially if you are soloing.
~I took time to compare the time needed using a 55 SoJ build, it more time as they don't always "attack" and more often than not 1/2 of the enemies you face will simply be spamming spells. Growths are however much easier with a 55... Rottings are just hell for both.
If I forgot anything tell me... I will post screen later, hopefully tonight, but I tired myself out of writing this and killing the first 50 titans... I should have taken pics then... damn it!
EDIT: Ok I went out and made a few screen shots. Nothing elaborate:
That Screen Shot run took 15 minutes or well I did it for 15 minutes as I need to leave :P (Those screens only show a small part of the run but it was the best part ^_^)

First we have Luxa in Hell, Avarre with Forgerunner build and now Theo against the Titans in Kryta/Denravi........ Man, what happens these days with mesmers? Getting bored and try to find something else before Factions comes out and show yourself to prove Mesmers are good both PvE and PvP? If this continue like this, I think I will doing the same thing for me lol (Except farming Ettins with Domination)!
Anyway back to topic. If Luxa can do in Hell.... why not during the defense quest against the Titans. I see you're a repeater gunner Theo. I never thought this build can be used in your solo build against the Titans.

Just as an aside, it's possible to kill Rotting Titans as a 55 IW with a little trick - switch to your full HP armor, drop Balths/Essence and maintain only Mending and Breeze, hack away with IW and interrupt Lingering Curse with Power Spike. Oh and get the hell away when they die.

Power Drain is nice for when you face larger groups, though technically you can use Spike to kill the enemies faster. But neither has the recharge to match Lingering or Wither as they are both 10 second recharges. As for swapping I need to find a -5 energy item and then I will try it Though I could just use a stupid wand with no energy bonus XD.

This is obviously a soloing Titan build, and not a build for soloing the entire quest, beginning to end...
